Position Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the daily housekeeping operation and ensures guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet Dexter’s standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort.
Reporting to the Housekeeping Director, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of the housekeeping department. In addition to managing daily room assignments, inspections, and team performance, the Housekeeping Supervisor actively participates in room cleaning and daily operations to ensure rooms are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards.
The role works closely with the Front Desk team to coordinate room readiness and maintain a smooth guest arrival experience while supporting the Housekeeping Director in maintaining departmental standards, training, inventory management, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily housekeeping schedules and room assignments
- Prioritize room cleaning order based on arrivals, early check-ins, and operational needs
- Conduct a daily room status review with the Front Desk team to align on priorities and arrivals
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure quality standards are met
- Clean guest rooms and assist with room turnovers during busy periods
- Support daily refresh service and full room turns
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and hotel standards
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to housekeeping team members
- Maintain par levels for linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies
- Monitor linen inventory and communicate supply needs to the Housekeeping Director
- Assist with housekeeping supply organization and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, corridors, and shared guest spaces
- Identify and report maintenance issues or repair needs
- Oversee daily laundry operations to ensure efficiency and organization
- Support onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members
- Assist the Housekeeping Director with quality control initiatives and departmental standards
Pay: $21.00 per hour
