The Dam Shop at the Elk Rapids Marina is seeking an experienced cook who is an excellent team player, brings energy to the team, and has a passion for food.
This position is hourly wage + tips.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the Food Truck stations
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Taking out trash, sweeping, moping and all other standard cleaning procedures
- Date and Label food made and organize in First In First Out
- Completing a daily list of task
- Must be able to work independently and be self driven
Skills and Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Kitchen experience 1+ years
- Exceptional time management
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time & physical stamina
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preforming multiple tasks simultaneously
- High personal hygiene standards
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to read and understand Standardized Recipes
- Familiar with basic kitchen terminology
- Serve safe Certified a plus, not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
