Nature and Bird Walk

This week marks the 69th Anniversary of Katharine Dexter McCormick's gift of the Island House and property to the residents of the Village of Elk Rapids.  This Island House was created in the mid-1800s by the Noble Family.  This area with lush river bushes of native vegetation and trees affording birds and mammal habitation and a "shade canopy" as well.  To celebrate, join in for a nature and bird walk with Bill Scharf (Michigan's noted biologist and ornithologist) at the Island Bridge.
