The Music House Museum is proud to welcome Kingfisher is a seven piece group from Ann Arbor, Michigan on September 22 at 7:00PM. Within the realm of Indie Folk Rock, their unique sound features expansive horn and string arrangements complemented by electronic sampling and production to create a rich and layered sound. Kingfisher is composed of Sam DuBose (Writing, Mixing, Vocals, Guitar), Sam Uribe Botero (Producing, Recording Mixing, BG Vocals, Sample, Saxophone), Kaysen Chown (Strings, Acoustic Guitar), Connor Hoyt (Saxophone and Pedals), Callum Roberts (Trumpet, Electric Guitar), Casey Cheatham (Drums, BG Vocals), and Tyler Thenstedt (Bass, BG Vocals). Their music draws comparisons to artists like Black Country, New Road, Bon Iver, Big Thief and Buck Meek. Released last November, Kingfisher’s debut album Grip Your Fist, I'm Heaven Bound has garnered significant attention across the country. With an ever-growing catalog, Kingfisher continues to captivate audiences with their masterful musicianship and evocative storytelling.
