Explore the classic form of drawing using the clothed human form as a subject. Mary Guntzviller will guide beginning students through the process of capturing the figure from life on paper, providing individual instruction and attention throughout the session.
The class begins with a 10-minute warm-up of short, loose line sketches to familiarize students with the model's proportions. Throughout the session, Mary will provide demonstrations, answer questions, and explain each step. More experienced students are welcome to bring their choice of media (excluding oils).
In this three-hour workshop, we will cover:
– Measuring techniques
– Procedures for correcting angles
– Negative space
– Hands and feet
– Foreshortening
– Facial features
