Field Day at Providence Organic Farm

 

This event will be FREE to attend and is open to ANYONE interested in learning more about and / or pursuing organic agriculture, so make sure to tell your friends too. 

 

 

(Registration is closing on Thursday, July 24th at 12pm EDT.)

 

Spend a day at Providence Organic Farm to learn about their production and marketing practices.

 

When: July 29 from 9am to 3pm

 

Where: Providence Organic Farm, Café & Natural Food Market, 5691 N Michigan 88, Central Lake, MI 49622

 

What: Visit Providence Farm to learn from the farmers about raising and marketing vegetables and livestock sustainably and how to follow organic standards for pastures and livestock.

 

Speakers: Ryan and Andrea Romeyn of Providence Farm as well as a panel of livestock producers

 

Agenda:

 

9-9:30 am: Arrive, check in and enjoy coffee and snacks catered by Providence Organic Farm Market and Cafe

 

9:45 am - 12:45 pm: Farm Tour

 

12:45 pm - 1:30 pm: Lunch catered by Providence Organic Farm Market and Cafe and free time to explore the Farm Market

 

1:30 - 2:30 pm: Livestock certification panel

 

2:30-3:00 pm: Q&A and wrap up
