Event Description:
Join us for a free Family Fun Day at YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps on the beautiful shores of Arbutus Lake and Torch Lake. These community events are designed for families with young children to spend time outdoors, enjoy creative activities, and connect with local organizations that support youth and families in our region.
The events take place on -
April 11 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at YMCA Arbutus Hayo-Went-Ha, 1380 East Arbutus Lake Road in Traverse City.
April 18 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at YMCA Camp Torch Hayo-Went-Ha, 919 NE Torch Lake Drive in Central Lake.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including arts and crafts, climbing the camp’s tower, storytelling and music, raffles, and giveaways happening every fifteen minutes. There will also be a free lunch served from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM.
Special guests Miriam Pico and Jen Strauss will share interactive storytelling and music beginning at 10:30 AM, creating a joyful experience for children and families alike. Local organizations will also be present to share resources and programming opportunities for families in the community.
Families are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate upon arrival to help support local needs.
