The Elk Rapids Players will be hosting open auditions for their upcoming production of Eddie
McPherson’s Acting Can Be Murder. Parts are available for adults of all ages and acting
experience. This production will be great for those wanting to give theater a try, those looking for
great “whodunnit” roles, and those that just love being on stage.
Acting Can Be Murder is a story about an understudy who figures out the easiest way to
stardom is by murdering the lead actress and hiding her body in an onstage chest. Find out
what happens during this murder mystery that spoofs Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock.
Auditions will be February 2,3 and 4 starting at 6:00 at the Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall and perusal scripts can be obtained by calling (231)342-7305. Acting Can Be Murder will run April17,18,19 and 24,25,26.
