11 Legged Lake Tour

A bicycle or walk fundraiser for 2 charities including Chalfonte Foundation a 501 (c) 3 (Chalfonte House is located in Elk Rapids). Six friends of Ryan Giannini (one being an above the knee amputee - hence the name "11 Legged") started this in his memory in 2001 a year after his passing. Many local business's donate food for the breakfast/rest stops and lunch that is served. Over the years this event has brought many new visitors as well as returning participants who not only support the event but also boost the town's economy.
